RAF planes which fought in the Cold War and Today

The Harrier:
Referred as the jump jet because of its ability to 'jump' off the ground, because of its thruster engines being able to point downwards and produce enough thrust to lift off. This however uses up a LOT of fuel!.
The British-designed aircraft was introduced in 1969 and its role was a (v/stol) Fighter aircraft.
ENGINE: Pegasus 6
POWER: 15,000lbf
MAX SPEED: 735mph

The Tornado:
The pilot in the front seat flies and fights the aircraft, while the back seat checks office controls. when the tornado travels at hi speed the wings invert inwards and when at slow speeds the invert outwards. It has a massive combination of heavy duty caliber weapons. It has two after-burners which produce a Hefty amount of power.
ENGINES: two RB 199 turbofans
THRUST: 16,410lbs each!!!!
MAX SPEED: 2.2 mach!!!!!
