History of the RAF

On the 29th November 1917 a change in Parliament made an establishment of the Air force. Eventually, the Royal air force came into existence on the 1st of April 1918.

So it started at the end of World War I, and became a big organization in flying in World War II as aviation became more advanced. The iconic planes from World War II are the Hurricane and the Spitfire.

The RAF was one of the best air forces in the world, because of the pilots being so well trained and committed to flying and to help protect the country.
